Can my child get high off these pills?!

Question: Can my child get high off these pills?
I bought some red pills for my son, who has a cough, and i was looking at the ingredients, and it contains 15mg of dextromethorphan. I remember my sister had called me and told me that her daughter was taking something called tripple C's, which contained that same ingredient. Please help?

Yes. But dextromethorphan is a cough suppresent. Unless your son takes 900 mg, he should be fine. If your son does take more than 900 mg, he may experience hallucinations and a psychedelic trip.

But make sure he doesn't take more than the recommended dosage.

also, note to LAWLNAGE: do you have nothing better to do on Christmas than to insult people?

He'd trip.

You can get high on a lot of things if you try hard enough.

@LAW: Really, shouldn't you have been doing something productive on Christmas like playing with your My Little Pony collection instead of insulting people? Just because a pill makes you drowsy does not mean you can't either get high or trip off of it. People get high off of Percocet all the time and that makes you drowsy, as well as people trip on Benadryl and that naturally makes people drowsy. So before you insult peoples' intelligence maybe you should take a look at your own IQ.

Goodness. Sorry, may I ask your IQ level? Probably incredibly low. I'm 15 and I MYSELF would go to the chemist and ask. Seriously, you are an adult. And what a silly question to ask. How can he get high on pills? All it will do is make him sleepy. I would ALWAYS check with the chemist first.

technically, yes.

dextromethorphan (DXM on the street) is a disassociative hallucinogen...he wouldn't get high, he'd trip...but a 15mg dose isn't going to do anything but suppress a cough.

Yes, it is highly possible, consult a doctor.

Question for the new couple with pic!!!!!!!

do you really think a pharmacy would sell kids medicine that would make them high?
people use pills with those drugs in them to make party pills, thats all
