Question: Whats best for sore throats?

my self and my 20month old son have a cold and a very nasty sore throat we also have a cough with it too, but i have no medicine only paracetamol and honey and lemon, this does`t seem to be workin!! i cant sleep and more importently nor can my son..please if any one know some thing i can do please let me know..Thank you..

Menthol throat lozenges soothe a sore throat.

Gargle with warm saline water

In 1 cup hot water,add 1 tsp apple cider vinegar, 1/4th lemon juice, 1 tsp.honey & 1 pinch of cayenne pepper.Stir. Drinking this thrice daily
