Has Obama Made any Impact on Chiropractic?!

Question: Has Obama Made any Impact on Chiropractic?
I was reading through some of his proposals and statements etc. It seems he is an avid supporter of chiropractic. Just wondering as I am shortly attending Chiropractic School.
Thanks

Great profession it just doesn't pay well.... Payments are getting less and less by the year and the paperwork getting more and more... Some plans pay chiropractors $13/visit.. There are many other professions out there without the investment in school that you can do.. Unless you plan to have an all cash practice.. then you must consider the economy and who would have the money to pay you when they have doctors in their medical plan... lots top think about

Contrary to what you have heard, now is NOT the time to spend 4 years and $150,000 on a chiropractic degree. When push comes to shove,Physical Therapy is going to win out over chiropractic. Chiropractic scope of practice is too limited. The government is not going to pay for "chiropractic wellness" only for short term pain management. And that goal can be met with a Doctor of Physical Therapy(DPT). And if you check it out,DPTs are on the increase. Chiropractic will slowly fall by the wayside as a redundant therapy. Think about it,who do you think the "powers to be" are going to listen to concerning major changes in health care in the US,the chiropractors or the medical doctors? (Here's a hint,it isn't Obama) I truly wish you the best, but I have to wonder if you have really looked far enough down the road?

Edit: Could you please enlighten us,how does chiropractic prevent disease? I think you are seeing what you want to see,but not hearing what is being said.

It really matters little what Mr. Obama thinks - anything would have to get by Congress. Trying to get anything "for the people" in terms of health care seems to be like pulling teeth - and there are plenty of people waiting with bated breath to see what "shakes down" in those terms, let alone alt med.

Cross your fingers.

the effect is very negative. given the state of the economy, visits are already down and some are closing their doors permanently. now with being forced to spend on medical insurance for themselves and others, patients will have even less remaining to buy what they really want-chiropractic.

I agree with MrE and massage therapist. The chiropractor that my husband has been going to for more than 20 years just recently gone out of practice. He was very nice man but he ran out of people.
