Question: Manuka honey UMF20+ too harsh for facial use?
So im going to use Oranic manuka honey as a facial mask and as a spot treatment for my face.

I don't think it is too strong and honey is never harsh. It has humectant properties which means it draws water into the skin or helps stop water loss or both. It is quite sticky and thick to use neat so i would advise thinning it out. You can add it to natural yogurt for a softening (from lactic acid in yogurt) and moisturising (form honey) face mask. Or you can add it to lemon juice for a mildly exfoliating (from citric acid in lemon juice) and moisturising night time face mask treatment....this can be left on the skin overnight if acne and pimples are a problem or rinsed off lightly otherwise. Or you can add it to such as white or green tea and use that as a toner and leave that on your face to dry to get antioxidants (from both tea and honey) and moisturisation.

Removing dead cells is really key to keeping pimples under control. Manuka honey should help to keep Propionibacterium acnes bacteria under control. Lemon juice by lowering the pH of the skin might boost that effect if left on overnight. Or lemon juice can be used alone but it does make the skin feel a little dry as a stand alone treatment.

Witch hazel extract as an anti-inflammatory can help heal any active spots.

Best wishes.
