There's so many natural remedies. Here's what's worked for me.
1)inclined bed therapy (google "benefits of inclined bed therapy...so many benefits)
2)just like your above answerer said to make honey tea...I would suggest to first add 1/4 tsp cinnamon in your boiled water and let sit for 30 min. and then add 1 tbsp *raw* honey (so the enzymes aren't all heated out).
3) the vit melatonin helped me as well. Take 1 hr before bedtime.
If you want more tips for natural remedies google "insomnia and natural home remedies" (I usually find alot of info w/ those type of searches).

Tip 1: Eat at least 3 cups of curds daily.

Tip 2:Mix 2 tsp of honey to 1 glass of warm water. Drink just before sleeping. Give half the amount to babies it will help put them to sleep.

Tip 3: Drink warm milk with honey.

Tip 4:1 tsp juice of celery leaves with stalks and 1 tsp of honey.

Tip 5: Have raw onion salad.

Tip 6: 2 tsp of fenugreek leaves juice with 1 tsp of honey at bed times daily

Soak poppy seeds (khas khas) in water and keep it overnight. Grind it to extract the thick milk. Similarly extract milk from a grated coconut. Mix equal quantities of both the milks and have it before going to bed. But those who are trying to lose weight should avoid this as this liquid is very high in calories.

Aside from valerian tea, other teas and herbal infusions that may help fight insomnia include:

- chamomile tea
- passion flower tea
- mullein tea
- catnip tea
- lavender tea

Believe it or not, drink a lot of water. 3 litres a day.
Eat a lot of garlic.
And St John's wort.

I've had chronic insomnia for 5 years, still not cured. But this worked, I was just to lazy to keep it up.
