Unless you are eating a diet that includes at least 75% raw vegan, organic foods, I believe there is a need to supplement. As far as which supplements you should take, firstly, steer clear of supplements that are lab-produced. There is scientific evidence that these can do more harm than good. If you want to take one, be sure that it is a minimally processed wholefood supplements. I take one that is superior to most. It is called Oceans Alive Marine Phytoplankton. It has just about everything a body needs in one single source, including all 93 trace minerals that the body needs, all 9 of the amino acids that our body can't make, etc.. I'm not going to sound like an advertisement, but if you want to read up on it, go here: http://www.marinephytoplanktonbenefits.i…
It's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for without all of the bad side effects of processed, synthetic substances that they sell for cheap. Babies can even take this and so can your pet.... that's how safe it is!!

It is possible to feel well without vitamins, especially if you are in fairly good health, eat well & exercises.
Otherwise , there is no scientific proof that vitamin supplements are of any help.
You should NOT be taking Iron plus without a Dr. advice, can be one reason for your queasy feeling.
If your Dr. has prescribed the vitamins for you, there may be a reason.
If they are causing you adverse symptoms, you should notify your Dr.
Please don't rely on YA for any medical advice.

Unless you're anemic you don't need an iron supplement -- this alone can give you a headache.
Always take nutritional supplements with food. That way you can avoid any stomach upset. Choose natural source vitamins over synthetic. The cheap drugstore type are always synthetic and many contain too much vitamin A. Ask someone at the health food store to help you.

Vitamins are highly processed, which means they contain a lot of fillers, solvents (from extraction), and other byproducts. Also, if you already take a multi, you should be getting all the B you would need. Your body is basically working overtime to metabolize supplements that are not needed; which is not good.

My bet is it's the iron that is making you feel punky... Or, any other minerals (magnesium, calcium, zinc etc). I get my minerals from food cuz I can't stand the way they make me feel.

it means that you are not taking food with them, and they're kicking it old school in your stomach. Eat something always when you take pills so that you don't get an ulcer.

There is not a jot of evidence that taking supplements have any beneficial effects on health and the latest studies are showing they may be detrimental to health.

Stop wasting your money.

You don't need them, stop taking them. Just stick to a healthy balanced diet unless a proper doctor tells you otherwise. The vitamin industry wants your money.
