Question: Flucloxacillin tablets makeing me feel worse?
i am 14 years old and was giving flucloxacillin for an ear abscess 4 times a day 7 days a week after taking my first one yesterday i started burning up and went sleep all day and night Only waking up to take the tablets i also have a bad cold i only ended up taking 2 tablets what should i do they are making me feel so ill

Drink plenty to make sure you do not get dehydrated, and talk to your doctor about it as soon as you can, in case it is a reaction rather than a coincidental bug.

If the tablets are upsetting your stomach, try some of the bio type yogurt drinks. Antibiotics can kill the bugs you need to digest food properly the the yogurt stomach drinks help replace them.

It may be the flu making you feel worse or it may be that you are having an adverse reaction to penicillin. It may be a good idea to phone your doc.
