Question: As I age I note that my memory is faltering. How can I improve my memory?
Short & long-term memory

Answers:

Exercise you ability to learn (go back to college, read, watch the news, become active in a Socratic seminar)

Do some puzzles, memory games and trivia you can play for fun or cash prizes at
Goggle memory games, there are lots for free! Exercising your brain is the same as exercising a muscle. I know the brain is not a muscle, but its the principle.

You should have told your age because if you can safely do physical exercise that also helps.

You need to eat right too. Deep breathing exercise also increases the oxygenated blood to the brain and also helps with brain function.

I do this

Just do little mini brain training games. Brain training for the nintendo ds and big brain acadAmy are really good and they can help with memory as well as other things. You could also try maybe writing a list of random things, cover it and then try and remember all the things on the list or have one of those things that have four colours and they light up in a certain sequence and then you have to memorise it.

Just doing a little bit each day will help I think.

For long term you could look at photos of the past

Dude, try doing some puzzles, memory games and trivia you can play for fun or cash prizes at
www.braindash.com. If you don't win any money, at least you will be exercising your brain.

You should have told your age too.

I read somewhere that exercise can help with memory. There is also the Indian technique of standing on your head (inverted) to give more blood to your noodle.

Important for memory are good sleep and interest.

How do I get good sleep?
What am I really interested in?

Those are two questions that may be very interesting for you to ask yourself.

You need to take off your clothes and bathe in olive oil.

Trust me, I'm a doctor
