Question: Does HEAT help treat tight muscles in ANY part of the body?
let's say a hot bath,heating pads,sleep do they help treat tight muscles in any part of teh body,like the chest the back the neck,does it help treat the pain??

Sure can - much, but not all. Depends on how recent an injury was, what type, etc. Absolutely love it. Use it quite often. Hot bath, heating pads, even just heating rubs.

And yes, as the other poster has asserted, an OTC pain killer in conjunction will help a great deal as well, and there is no reason why heat should be avoided on the neck. The crazy cat lady likes to make things up on the fly - but they are right about epsom salts - it's fab stuff for muscles sore from overexertion.



Absolutely. Put Epsom Salts in your hot bath for great results -- it contains magnesium which is a well known muscle relaxant. It's not recommended that you put heat on your neck area as dilating these blood vessels could cause problems.
Most people are deficient in magnesium, so supplemental magesium citrate can help alleviate pain from cramped muscles.



It can help. It causes blood vessels to dilate (open wider), so the muscles do loosen up. However, it's not an analgesic. You need a proper anti-inflammatory or painkiller for that.
