Can I have paracetamol with alcohol?!

Question: Can I have paracetamol with alcohol?
I always used to drink rum with hot water and lemon when I was ill, while taking paracetamol. Is this bad for you, should I do it, it always seemed to cure me!

No. http://www.drugs.com/paracetamol.html says, "Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medication. Alcohol may increase your risk of liver damage while taking paracetamol."

You might be able to get away with drinking a little, but the manufacturer recommends against it. If you aren't sure, you can also talk to your doctor or pharmacist to see how much would be safe. Good luck and I hope I helped!
