Yes, there are quite a few trials that have proven it does. I found one on PubMed at http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19083… but their website search engine isn't working right now so I couldn't look up any others. Granted, there's always going to be a variety of companies making different types of studies like this and some can be weighted in such a way to set up the test to show a failing result (eg. using a fish oil complex with very little DHA)... but even tougher is that "brain health" is a very vague term that can be interpreted in different ways and a study could look at some aspect of "brain health" that fish oil doesn't help with (eg. curing various brain diseases) and any test for those aspects of "brain health" will fail.

Aside from clinical research, I've seen it in myself that I can think more clearly and have a better memory from taking Fish Oil regularly (and my skin is healthier for it as well), plus I've talked to hundreds of people with similar results. Heck, I've talked to one or two people that thought it was for something else, but they still got the benefits that Fish Oil give (so it's not just placebo), but since it's not a clinical study, I'm sure the skeptics would have a few things to say about that. ;-)
Good luck and I hope I helped!

Go to pubmed do a search for "cognitive function" AND docosahexaenoic acid then repeat that using "cognitive function" and eicosapentaenoic acid.

I would post the link, but it's an internal engine.

Bear in mind that a one-tenth of a second increase in reaction times (which can be statistically significant) often cannot be compared to any detectable benefit in everyday life.
