According to http://www.drugs.com/lyrica.html
"Less serious Lyrica side effects may include:
*dizziness or drowsiness, anxiety;
*loss of balance or coordination;
*problems with memory or concentration;
*dry mouth;
*skin rash or itching;
*constipation, stomach pain;
*increased appetite; or
*joint or muscle pain."

The second to last one is increased appetite... that doesn't mean everyone will gain weight from it, but it happens. Personally, I find it funny (more ironic, I guess) that one of the side effects is joint and muscle pain... and yet, it's prescribed to treat Fibromyalgia, which is a worsening of pain (especially in the joints and muscles). That's one of several reasons that I would never take this for Fibromyalgia (and have recommended that my mother with Fibromyalgia stay away from it), especially with other options that can help Fibromyalgia.
If you'd like natural options for Fibromyalgia, you could try D-Ribose, Magnesium, a good B Complex (B-50 is usually adequate), Malic Acid, Methionine, and/or TMG (Trimethylglycine).
I would personally suggest adding only one of these to your regiment every month or so, just to see how your body reacts to each one (so you can see which ones work well and which ones don't help). Good luck and I hope I helped!

Hey Casey! There is a possibility you'll gain, but you may not. I know a lot of people who have gained with this medicine, but I also know some who haven't. It's one of those things you'll never know until you're on it. I gained weight with Cymbalta, but I've been on Lyrica for a few months now, and I haven't gained any. We all react differently to meds. It's worth trying to see if it helps your fibro. If it really helps your pain and fatigue, you'll be able to move around a little more; therefore, helping keep the weight off. :)
Hope it works well for you!

I have been on 75 mg of Lyrica for 3 months. I spoke to my doctor about this, and she said as long as you stay active and eat right you will not gain weight. I have felt better on this medication, but I have gained a few pounds because I always feel hungry. Not everyone I talk to gain weight on this medication, so don't let that stop you if you need relief.
