It depends if alcohol is having a bad effect on your life, excess obviously damages your health, it can also affect your relationships and job, if it is doing these things then obviously it's worth it.

I'm a recovered alcoholic in my 5th year of sobriety (thanks to Alcoholics Anonymous) and alcohol had a negative effect on all those things, drinking in moderation didn't work so total abstinence was the only solution.

The amazing thing is, after a drinking habit that had lasted for 50 years, I don't even miss it any more, I feel a lot better for it and now enjoy my life to the full, you can have this freedom if you want it.

Definitely worth it.

Advice: try to determine the roots of your compulsion/addiction. For alcoholics, it's usually social anxiety or a consuming fear. Then work with a therapist or someone you trust to work with that fear and letting it go rather than letting it rot inside you.

definetley worth it. It kills your stomach and brain very slowly. Your body dosent like it and thats why it makes you urine alot or throwup...because it dosent like what you are giving it so its up to you...die younger and sicken your body or live longer and absorb healthy food instead of that useless bottle to help you forget things and make your "worries" away why dont you actually fix your problems!

yes it is difficult at the beginning for sure..but so worth it in the long run.

You feel fresher, more full of energy, less depressed ( I know it is a vicious circle...you feel depressed and you want to drink and on and on), later u will not get a beer belly..your health will be better..etc.

been there..difficult at the beginning but so worth it !

Is it worth it? Yes.
Ron posted a link above - I would use it, see what they have to say, and listen to see if you hear yourself in any of their stories.

My life (and I) got a lot saner once I gave it up - - years ago.

Just don't drink, bro. It's all will power. Think about your health and the fact that you'll be producing more testosterone with out the ****. Dudes who drink alot have train wrecks of a life.

Why? As long as alcohol is not negatively impacting your life then I would say it is not worth it, except when it comes to car insurance - rates are lower for tea-totallers.

It has to be "worth it" if u want to give it up.

your liver would appreciate it
