Are the Acai and Colon Cleanse diet pills safe for teens?!

Question: Are the Acai and Colon Cleanse diet pills safe for teens?
i'm just curious. I'm sorta interested in them, but i know my parents are going to want to know if they are safe.

Answers:

LoL I wanted to know the EXACT same thing! I'm really un confident about how I look and I wanted to try diet pills like the Acai pills and my mom won't let me of course :P Btw I am a girl. I don't think it's really safe because I hear it can I guess damage your kidney or w/e (in WORST scenario) and +, it says 18+ NOT INTENDED FOR CHILDREN. So you and me are out of luck. Better to follow the instructions than to risk something bad am I right? :]

Whoever thumbs-down me must be a.....I can't say :) or else I'd get in trouble lol

Acai Berries are just another fruit. They have no proven medical benefits whatsoever. Pomegranates, Concord grapes, blueberries, and red wine all have far more antioxidants. They will NOT help you lose any significant amount of fat.

Detox pills, and detoxification and cleansing in general, are neither useful nor necessary unless you have had long-term narcotic use or are chronically constipated. Detoxification and cleansing has no proven medical benefits for the average person whatsoever. It will NOT help you lose any significant amount of fat. Your intestines are clean unless you use large amounts of muscle relaxers, or have serious digestive illness.

The only thing that will help you lose weight is a healthy lifestyle that consists of a proper diet and frequent exercise.

They may be safe, most are because they're completely inert, however many of them are contaminated with expired prescription drugs or heavy metals such as arsenic or mercury. It depends on the source that you use. More importantly though, they are completely without benefit and a waste of money. There is even some research to indicate that free radicals help your body know when it's full and that consuming extra anti-oxidants such as those in acai berries leads to over eating. It's not completely proven yet, but it is well known that anti-oxidants don't help weight loss or cleanse the body. Colon cleansing itself is also useless, no matter how it's done and can cause serious side effects.

Acai is a fruit. Not sure why you would be worried about if they are safe are not, unless the products you are looking at have a lot of other stuff added to them. Acai will not help you lose weight just by consuming it and nothing else. If you drink acai juice or take the pure powder you are adding a lot of nutrition to your diet. Acai is a fruit that is high in vitamins and antioxidants. Consuming it along with other dark berries such as blackberries, blueberries, and cranberries will help.

As far as colon cleansing products go. Many of the products you find in Walmart and similar places contain very strong diuretic herbs(I'm sure very low quality ones). The purpose is to increase the number of bowel movements, and that it does. I make my own herbal extracts at home. I use dandelion, nettle, etc. I do not suggest taking things that you have not what they are. I suggest starting out with some herbal teas.
Green, red, and black teas
mints if you like

I suggest a diet of fresh fruits and veggies, whole grains, and leans meats if you choose.

Both are a scam and both will NOT make you lose weight, sorry but these fake pills have been around for quite a while.

Eat less, move more is the only way to lose weight.

No, eat properly and you don't need this kind of stuff

At Walmart they sell Acai Berry Chews, theyre vitimins that help promote healthy immune and theyre real good for you. As far as colon cleanse Im taking these pills right now and its a 14 Day Acai Cleanse. it helps so you dont get really bloated after you eat (and look like youre 4months preggo) your tummy gets flatter, you may shed a few pounds. I noticed a difference in 3 days!
