And "overdose" in oral vitamin C will give you diarrhea or loose stool. That's it. Even if you took enough to cause diarrhea every day of your life.

Toxic doses of Vitamin C have not yet been established. In fact, it's sometimes used at incredibly high doses (think 50,000g+, which can only be achieved by intravenous methods.)

Technically, you can overdose on vitamin C, however it's a water soluble compound to the concentration required for overdose is extraordinarily high because the body is primarily composed of water. To overdose "threshold" for vitamin C is on the order of 18000% of your daily requirement, and it's not actually the vitamin that causes the overdose, it's the change in the pH of the blood that is detrimental. Vitamin C is easily cleared from the system, and your body can typically remove 400% of the "required amount" from the body per hour via the kidney's normal function assuming proper hydration.

You'll be fine.

No. Linus Pauling who discovered vitamin C used to take at least 10,000 mg. at day.
Don't pay any attention to RDA's (recommended daily amounts). They're not predicated on optimum amounts for good health. There's no science behind them. It's just a guestimate of what might be the minimum to prevent a deficiency.
Optimum amounts vary per individual. You know you've reached your optimal amount when you reach bowel tolerance (which means you'll get diarrhea at that point).

Yes you can overdose, the guy who said it isn't a drug doesn't know what he is talking about.

However will you die? Unlikely, see the website in my source.

No, but you'll probably urinate a lot since vitamin C, which is a water soluble vitamin, is excreted in the urine. Don't overdo it with vitamins and supplements because it can tax your liver and kidneys.

No you will not die. You did not take overdose. You just took more than daily allowance. Yes it is possible to overdose on vitamin C but you are not going to overdose even if you ate the whole bottle.

Yes, you can overdose on everything, even water. But you are not going to die hehe.

I have taken 4000 mg/day when coping with a cold/flu situation and all it did to me was make my sweat smell like a vitamin and give me the runs.

No. Vitamins aren't drugs.

When you take more than the amount your body needs, the excess is expelled as waste (urine/feces).

No u won't die the extra vitamin c will just go to waste it won't hurt u.

You can't.
