I may have accidentally taken expired cold medicine?!


Question: I may have accidentally taken expired cold medicine?
I wasn't feeling well and I found some cold medicine in my kitchen cabinet. After taking some, I looked at the expiration date and it only says (11/07). I don't know if this means it expires July 2011 or November 2007. What should I do?

call a pharmacist and ask. they are happy to answer questions just like this and are very knowledgable. Its their job to know these things.

wait to see if you get any bad after effects from it; although even if it was expired it shouldn't do you much harm because after all it is children's cold medicine and most medicines don't take that much negative effect iff off to be honest, and it probably would have had a weird taste if it was badly out of date also.

you shoul be fine medicine loses its potency w/age if you think its gonna make you sick call the poison hotline
