Diatomaceous Earth - Food Grade?!

Question: Diatomaceous Earth - Food Grade?

My dad lives by this stuff and keeps telling me I need to start using it. Does anyone here know anything about it??

It's used by pet owners to get rid of fleas and ticks and intestinal parasites, by gardeners to get rid of insect pests, slugs and snails... It will also get rid of intestinal parasites in humans and has other medical applications that have recently been discovered.
It's used in some aquarium filter systems to thoroughly clean the water of bacteria and it even cures fungal and bacterial infections in fish.

If you suffer from worms or parasites you could take it. If not then you don't need it.
