Question: Is there a "right way" to take anise seed and other herbs?...?
I'm wondering how to get the full benefit of natural dietary supplements/herbal formulas I am taking, they are: anise seed, dried raspberry leaf, blessed thistle and fenugreek. I am currently taking them in vegan capsules but I have read a lot more of people drinking these things in teas. Is there something about heat or water that activates their beneficial properties more or ? I'm curious if it's better to put them in a teabag and boil them or continue taking them as I am. Just wondering :)

The hot water unlocks the beneficial essences found in the herbs so that you are able to derive their health benefits by taking the tea or the herbal infusion.

But that is just one way to derive the benefits. Taking the herbs in capsule form or in powdered form or as additives in the food you eat are the other ways to get their benefits and are just as effective.
