Is there a drug in Carmex?!

Question: Is there a drug in Carmex?
My friend told me that Carmex has a drug in it that makes your lips addicted to it, and that your lips purposely dry themselves out so you'd put more Carmex on your lips. is that true?

Answers:

Not exactly. Your friend is probably thinking that the sealants cause you lips to not produce as much moisture so when you don't use it your lips are even drier?
Dry lips usually mean that you are not drinking enough water. Very common in winter with the heat running and drying the house air and cold air is usually very dry outside. Like living in a high desert.
Drink more water, use the chapstick when going outside for more than 5 minutes in the cold. If cold water isn't appealing then try hot water, it will help warm you from the inside and you may drink more, coffee and cokes do not count as hydrating liquids!

Probably xD

Well I think of it this way. Whenever you 'addictively' use lip gloss/balm, even when you don't need any, your body starts to become dependant on it, and it stops adding moisture naturally.

Just think about that.
