It really depends on your body. Kidney function, and how your body reacts to the methadone. Could be days up to 2 weeks. Even after the 'harsh' withdrawal symtpoms have subsided, you may still encounter a number of annoying symptoms that could last for added weeks. Is there a physician you can call? I would recommend seeing a doctor, or stopping by an ER for monitoring. Methadone withdrawal can be brutal.. Good luck to you.

Methadone half life is much much longer than that of other opioid drugs. Therefore, methadone withdrawals last a good bit longer than withdrawals from other opioids, and can last as long as a month or more at a very acute level. This is why it is ESSENTIAL to taper slowly off methadone and never stop cold turkey--people have died from doing this.

Depending on what dosage you had to take, the withdrawal symptoms may last from 1 to 2 weeks if you're lucky.

Many people who try to get off methadone experience the worse problems for 1-2 weeks but could go on with additional withdrawal symptoms for a month or so.

The innitial physical withdrawels will last 2-5 days depending on the frequency of the use and if you excercise or not. The cravings should fade after about the first week. By the end of the 2nd week the mental cravings should have dropped significantly (might even go days without thinking about it)
