Yes it does. Warm milk with honey helps ESPECIALLY well!
drinking or eating, pretty much anything, will temporarily soothe a sore throat.
I prefer to have a few slices of toast and a cup of tea, which works wonders for me... but each to their own.
if your throat is really bad, then gargling water with a few aspirin crushed into it will also soothe the pain temporarily. (seek adult advice on this if you are under 16/or read the instructions for dosage on the box before taking any medicine)
the only thing that will truly cure a sore throat is your immune system and rest, so if you eat to promote a good immune system and spend a day or two resting up you will get over much faster.
Warm milk with honey may make your throat feel better, but if you have a productive cough, milk tends to thicken the phlegm.
I don't think there's no affect from milk. But orange juice is good for you, as well as lemon juice with salt!
have it luke warm add honey and drink
Try it !
I wont hurt you and then you will know.
