Try a hot toddy, I find these to really help when I have a major sore throat.
* 1 teaspoon honey
* 2 fluid ounces boiling water
* 1 1/2 fluid ounces whiskey
* 1 slice lemon
* 3 whole cloves (optional)
* 1 cinnamon stick (optional)
* 1 pinch ground nutmeg (optional)
Pour the honey, boiling water, and whiskey into a mug. Add some lemon. Let sit for 5 minutes. Optional ingredients if you need better flavor. Put the cinnamon stick and cloves in with the lemon and sprinkle nutmeg before serving.
I had the same thing kinda...
It lasted two weeks.
I try to drink as much water to calm my throat when I go to sleep, because that's when it hurts the most.
I see that Tylenol did not do anything.
What I did was eat through a straw, what I ate was this soup with rice. The soup was like boiled with rice so the rice is softer.
Hope I helped in some kind of way
I had something similar by the sounds of it. Basically I didn't eat anything and as for drinks I just had them one painful sip at a time...
