Does alcohol...................?!

Question: Does alcohol...................?
So I have a mild case of acne on my back and I was told to put some rubbing alcohol on it then to put some nonscented lotion on it, does this work? I tried it last night but I hasn't really changed at all.

Apparently it is dangerous to rub rubbing alcohol on your face. See http://au.search.yahoo.com/search?p=%22r…

Wash with soap-n-water, then you can wipe with alcohol. After it dries you can use any acne med you have on hand. Just be sure that you aren't having an allergic reaction to anything (foods, new detergent, new body soap at bath time, etc). An over the counter hydrocortisone cream would help also. This would be the best choice if it is itchy. It this is a recurring condition you may want to use a bath soap made with Tea Tree Oil or add Tea Tree Oil (3 or 4 drops only) to your bath water. It works as a natural antiseptic/antifungal/antibacterial & is very useful.

I dont know much about this but i would go with the loofa suggest from above. My mom, dad, and sister use wash cloths and im the only one that uses a loofa and im also the only one that has never had an acne problem in my family. My sister has gone through many acne solutions over her high school years and i just graduated and not a single pimple on my face.....cant say its for sure but its the only thing that sticks out from what my family does and what i do and im the only one that didnt have acne as a teenager. Good luck and hope everything works out.

I'm 18 and never had an acne problem but my family has so.....

Yes it does work, even though it would take a while but the alcohol burns up the bacteria and it is very effective

You may also want to try using a loofah in the shower - it works really well. Get one from the drugstore.
