It's hard to say which one is worse overall as it varies greatly, but I would say meth is worse for you.

Heroin, which is an opiate, uses the opioid receptors and is not neurotoxic at all to the brain. Even after having been addicted and then withdrawn from it, ex heroin users have no damage to the brain. Psychologically they may be damaged because of the horrors of addiction, but physically they are fine.

Meth however will damage dopamine receptors permanently after long periods of use, so it causes physical damage as well as the psychological damage of the possible addiction.

Both can be damaging, but as far as doing meth once or heroin once, meth is worse for you. Overall though, it is the addiction to either one that is the most damaging, not simply the usage of the drug.

P.s. meth mouth is not a direct result of meth. Its a result of being dehydrated (no saliva in mouth to wash away bacteria) and the poor dental hygiene that certain people have. Meth mouth is easily avoided by keeping hydrated and brushing your teeth

I would venture that heroin is worse, in that you eventually get severely physically hooked, and cannot get off of it without a lot of medical intervention. Meth is severely addicting and will rot your mouth out quickly. They are both pretty dangerous drugs, and personally I stay away from narcotics.
Be aware that the two drugs are at different ends of the spectrum as well, in that one is an upper, the other a downer respectively. If you're looking for something to unwind with at the end of the day, you want a downer. If you're looking for something that will have you very energized, uppers are what your after.
Please be advised that high grade cannabis can have the same effects of either drugs (depending on the strain), is non addictive (though it can be habit forming), and much safer than potentially lethal narcotics. In over 5000 years of use there have been ZERO deaths attributed to cannabis. The same can not be said for narcotics.
