Do Vitamin D3 Supplements have any effect at all?!

Question: Do Vitamin D3 Supplements have any effect at all?
I literally never go into the sun, I hate the sun, or maybe I'm scared of it? No idea! I just can't.

Now I was told that I should take Vitamin D Supplements, and D3 being the best or something.
Vitamin D3 is the one that comes from the Sun rays or something and I don't really understand how it can be put inside a capsule, just weird lol.

I was wondering if Those Pills would even work or not?
I was also told to take it with calcium, so I would likely take the pill with a glass of milk uhum!

I just don't want to have any health issues from vitamin D deficiency. =(
Maybe I got my back pain from the deficiency, WHO KNOWS!!!!!!!

Forgot, I was told that I should take 1000 IU per day.
Now the pills that are sold here only have 200 IU, like wth.. I can't take 5 pills haha.

Thanks for everything ppl!!

Vitamin D3 is important for your overall health. Mainly the body needs it to help keep levels of calcium and phosphorus stable and it prevents osteoporosis, can help prevent cancer, high blood pressure, and is linked to aspects of immune health. And yes, it can cause back pain if you are deficient.
Here is a link that tells you about all the areas it affects. http://www.vrp.com/bone-and-joint/vitami…

You can buy Vitamin D3 in 1000mg units, just google it. You can take it as capsule, liquid or whatever. This link is to one that also has some calcium in it.

The vitamin D RDA is far too low for good health. What the vitamin D council recommend>>>

"If you use suntan parlors once a week or if you live in Florida and sunbathe once a week, year-round, do nothing. However, if you have little UVB exposure, my advice is as follows: healthy children under the age of 1 years should take 1,000 IU vitamin D3 per day—over the age of 1, 1,000 IU vitamin D3 per every 25 pounds of body weight per day. Well adults and adolescents should take 5,000 IU vitamin D3 per day. Around 2–3 months later have a 25-hydroxyvitamin D blood test, either through ZRT or your doctor.

Start supplementing with the vitamin D before you have the blood test. Then adjust your dose so your 25(OH)D level is between 50–80 ng/ml (125–200 nmol/L), summer and winter."

Great link about the health consequences of vitamin D deficiency....

If you think you're getting enough vitamin D3 from the sun and food think again!>>>
>>>http://www.goodhealthwellnessblog.com/19…

"The sun’s rays that shine down upon us are UVA and UVB ultraviolet rays. But only the UVB rays are vitamin D producing when they hit your skin. Little known is that everyone living north of 35° latitude will get no UVB rays between the months of November through March because of the angle of the sun. To give you some prospective, New York City, NY is in 40° latitude and Flagstaff, AZ is in 35° latitude. Fully two/thirds of the U.S and all of Canada are above the 35° latitude mark."

Vitamin D is also found in foods but most foods only contain very small amounts bar cod liver oil >>> http://www.algaecal.com/vitamin-d/vitami…

Vitamin D3 does work to increase vitamin D levels but if you are low in other vitamins you will find it very hard to raise vitamin D levels. Vitamins needed for proper vitamin D absorption - magnesium (most important), zinc, vitamin A, boron, vitamin K2. Calcium can be taken with vitamin D. Your calcium levels may be low as calcium needs vitamin D to absorb.

You can read up and find all the links to the research at Mercola.com
You can have a vitamin D blood test done to see what your blood levels are. It's call a 25(OH)D test.
D3 facilitates calcium absorption. Milk is fortified with D2 which is useless. There are few foods that naturally contain vitamin D and in very low trace amounts.
The current daily recommendation is 5000iu. RDA values are a bare minimum and far from the optimum amount for good health.
If you expose half your body to natural sunshine in the summer, your body will manufacture 20,000iu in half an hour. No one has ever found what the max. limit is or how much you'd have to take for how long to overdose -- probably around 50,000iu a day for months, which no one does anyway. If you live in a latitude north of Atlanta you could run around naked and not make any vitamin D in the winter.

CAT Scan Proves That Cancer Disappeared!
This is a real-life case study reported by a medical doctor who wishes to remain anonymous. The name of the patient has been changed for privacy reasons.

A 60-year-old man named David Palmer collapsed in his home one day and was rushed to the hospital. After undergoing an endoscopic examination and CAT scan, his doctor told him he had a cancerous mass the size of a grapefruit in his stomach. It was a large-celled lymphoma. A few days after his diagnosis, David learned about the simple therapy revealed in The One-Minute Cure, and began doing the therapy 3 times a week. Another CAT scan was done 7 weeks after he was first diagnosed with cancer -- and his doctor was amazed because the tumor had completely disappeared! Four months later, a repeat CAT scan was done, and again, there was no evidence that there was ever any cancer in David's stomach.
