THC has to enter the bloodstream in order for you to test positive. Ingesting it leads to entry into the bloodstream, so does smoking it.

no... you have to have the THC in your system by smoking it. If you only ate and spit it out you will be fine.
The plant has to bud before there's any THC, so no it won't make you fail a drug test.
No there isnt much thc in leafs you would have to eat or smoke the buds
