Can pain pills possibly calm anxiety?!


Question: Can pain pills possibly calm anxiety?
I know I shouldn't take them for anxiety. I took it last night to sleep cause I don't sleep till 6am. And It helped soo much. I focused on one thing. I can't think of two! I focus on the tv and realize ten minutes later that I wasn't even thinking constantly like always. Is it a possibility that it helped my anxiety?

Pain pills basically make you insensible. It's not the ansswer and it's how people become addicted to drugs. If you have anxiety, then the idea is to find out what's causing it and treat the cause. Becoming a drug addict isn't the way to do it.

Yes. Whenever I take painkillers I feel like I can talk to anyone about anything and it definitely relieves my anxiety.
