Here are several suggestions

---I am out of my mind
---Myths of the Crazy White Women (I'm white so I can say that)

Are you kidding me----PAINLESS childbirth is a freakin joke! The only way it would have been painless is if someone had beat me about the head until I was no longer lucid AND I was hopped up on morphine. I can't help but laugh at the idea of painless childbirth. Have you ever had a leg cramp? Childbirth is like a leg cramp times ten million and no amount of standing up and walking it off can help. Drugs help. Drugs and more Drugs. Thank you Jesus for the epidural.

I am a Certified Hypno- Doula. Although, I would never make the claim that Childbirth can be painless, I do believe(And have seen), that childbirth can be greatly reduced through hypnosis, and other Mind/Body applications.

I think what you mean by "faulty Programming" is that we all experience some form of hypnosis every day. When we watch tv we are experiencing a form of hypnosis. If every program we watch depicts a women going through childbirth, who is screaming in pain and agony, then you begin to think that ALL childbirths are this painful. This is a form of "faulty programming" because many women experiencing childbirth DO NOT think of their experience as painful or horrible. So, if you change the "faulty programming" to a more positive, experience, by empowering women to believe and trust in their body, the experience of childbirth will be perceived as a positive birth experience. (again, still programming the mind),

I would recommend that you title your book:" Empowering women for Childbirth: Relaxation techniques for a Positive Birth Experience"

NLP is unsubstantiated, pseudoscientific baloney - widely used for the sole purpose of selling so-called self help books which only help those who are enjoying the profits from book sales.

Removing 'faulty 'neuro programing' indeed. Can you provide some empirical evidence for this? You need to do this in your book to be taken seriously.

Call your book whatever you like - people like me who care about consumer affairs will come down hard on it, so have your facts together.

-------
EDIT: I'm sorry if I sounded harsh - I have clashed with NLP proponents/users in the past who made extraordinary claims but could not provide the extraordinary evidence to back up those claims. NLP techniques are also often employed by scammers and hucksters.

I'm sure you can understand why people are skeptical. Natural painless childbirth is a extraordinary claim. NLP as I said is not supported by empirical evidence. You are using terms that raise skeptical red flags - "faulty neuro programing", "affirmations", "natural neuro pain blocking".

I notice that since your initial claim has been challenged, you have gone from "painless" childbirth to "near painless" childbirth. This raises another skeptical red flag.

While I suspect that you are not trying to scam anyone, I also suspect you are not looking critically at this NLP/painless childbirth thing, rather allowing it to confirm your existing beliefs. I suggest you do further research - proper research requires an open mind; you must be prepared to evaluate the criticism too - not ignore it. I'm sure you want to provide a balanced view and the last thing you want to do is promote something that is less than honest.

Proper testing of such claims requires controlled conditions, randomization, blinding, large sample sizes and statistical analysis. This is followed by peer review and publication in respected journals. Anecdotes such as you have provided don't cut it. This is what you need to strive for, and without it your work will be largely dismissed.

I hope this helps.

how about "Natural Painless childbirths aren't Possible" for the title
I'm seriously for the natural take on nutrition (raw vegan diet)... but come on, childbirth not painful?....maybe it's just a new concept. but that seems far fetched, highly impossible. you're book better be backed up with real time (true) proof, for people to actually want to buy it and for it to become a success.
