does ibuprofen contain salicylic acid?!

Question: Does ibuprofen contain salicylic acid?
so i was reading about good exfoliating methods to exfoliate your face and smooth it and what not. and i came across tons of articles and videos talking about making a face mask out of honey and slightly disloved aspirin tablets. the reason you use the aspirin in your mask is because it contains salicylic acid which is good for your skin.

so, i dont have any aspirin tablets but i do have ibuprofen. i was wondering if this would be just as effective and if ibuprofen contains the same ingredients as ibuprofen. and more importantly; does ibuprofen contain salicylic acid?

No, ibuprofen is Ibuprofen, it should NOT CONTAIN ASPIRIN or salicylic acid period.

Ibuprofen is a pure, non steroidal anti inflammatory agent, it is completely different then aspirin which is salicylic acid
Ibuprofen lowers swelling of anything, like.. say you have a tooth ach caused by a tiny little microscopic hole, causing any forighn object to touch the nerv endings of your tooth insides, the reaction of this nerv ending is, it gets a rush of blood to it and gets Swollen (inflamed) the pressure sensors go off and there you have PAIN.. Ibuprofen stops this whole this from happening, thus pain goes away.

Aspirin is basically a blood thinner and a very mild pain relief (not in all cases), used to treat headaches (busted micro blood vessels) leaking blood into brain tissue causing pain, the aspirin helps the blood clot go away faster thus, when the blood clot is gone enough the headache is gone to.

like advil is ibuprofen.

So you see both drugs are very different and should be ingested in pure form in the prescribed ammounts.
