Looking into alternative medicine; what is Hellerwork?!

Question: Looking into alternative medicine; what is Hellerwork?
Just curious? Ever had this done?

Answers:

Yes, in college in my Adv.Kinesiolgy Class

Hellerwork is a form of bodywork developed in the 1970's by aerospace enginerr Joseph Heller. The soft tissue manipulation and body movement re-education are similar to Rolfing (Dr. Heller was trained in Rolfing), but acknowledges the relationship between body and mind using verbal dialogue.
Conditions Treated

* Poor posture
* Muscle pain, especailly neck, shoulder, and back
* Stress and stress-related conditions
* Sports injuries
* Conditions related to poor posture

What a Typical Hellerwork Treatment is Like
A typical Hellerwork treatment is 11 sessions of 90 minutes each. The first session usually begins with a health and lifestyle history. Photographs may be taken to compare posture before and after treatment.

Each session focuses on a certain area of the body and the emotions related to that area. For example, the feet and arms are related to childhood, and the core muscles of the pelvis, abdomen, and spine are linked to repressed emotions. The practitioner uses soft tissue manipulation techniques and educates about how to sit, stand, and walk without causing strain to the body.

Hellerwork practitioners use "guided verbal dialogue" to address emotions that lock muscles and affect breathing.
