Ways To Induce REM Sleep?!

Question: Ways To Induce REM Sleep?
Is there a way to induce REM sleep quickly? I keep trying to lucid dream, but I feel somewhat redundant when I'm not sure if I'm even going into REM sleep at night.

You are going into REM, if you were not you would start to lose basic cognitive functions and you would basically lose your mind. Most people only occasionally remember their dreams yet even if they don't remember they do still dream.

People who are sleep deprived will enter into REM sleep much more quickly then other people. However going into REM more quickly does not guarantee that you will remember a dream or have a lucid dream.

Things like exercise and all hypnotics (except one) do not help induce REM or increase time in REM although some hypnotics will reduce time spent in REM. The drug Xyrem (sodium oxybate) better known as γ-Hydroxybutyric acid (GHB) used medically for narcolepsy and primary hypersomnia and less commonly for alcohol withdrawal and insomnia and used recreationally as a "club drug" can increase time spent in REM sleep.

If you really want to have a lucid dream the best thing to do is find someone who can teach you how to do it. But it is not as great as most people think and it can take a long time to learn to have a lucid dream.

i have n electronic device called 'mastermind' which is used to induce an of the 4 types of brainwaves. they are expensive but totally worth it. i used it mostly when i was working full time salary (as much as 14 hours a day, and part time overnights a the local radio station, 2am-6am.
i bough mine in the 70's but the new ones are totally cool, but still about $265-$350.

Get an ounce or 2 of Mugs Wort, stick it under your pillow cover before you sleep. And... Man you will have the most messed dreams. It really promotes lucidity.

long walks or hikes
