Pair-point Treatment CombinationsErjian (LI2). Yinxi (HT6) ( Fig 94) Erjian ( LI2 ) : on the radial side of the index finger, m the depression distal to the second metacarpo-phalangeal joint on the radial side. Slightly clench fist to locate the point. Yinxi ( HT6 ) : on the palmer side of the forearm, on the radial side of the tendon of the flexor carpi ulnaris, 0.5 cun proximal to the wrist crease. Erjian (LI2) reduces heat and removes stagnation. Yinxi (HT6) clears fire and strengthens the exterior. This pair point combination, one reduces while one clears, clears heat, reduces fire, release the exterior and stops sweating. Appropriate forhyperhidrosis caused by excess inner heat. Needling techniques : ? Erjian (LI2) perpendicular insertion 0.5 curt. ? Yinxi (HT6) perpendicular insertion 0.5 cun. Hegu (LI4), Fuliu (K17) (Fig 71 )Hegu (LI4) clears heat, strengthens exterior, opens and dredge intestine harmonizes stomach. This pair point combination, one tonifies while one reduces, strengthens exterior and induces water, regulates and harmonizes skin and the zang fu organs. Appropriate for hyperhidrosis caused by yang deficiency and excess dampness. Needling techniques: ? Hegu (LI4) perpendicular insertion 1 cun, use tonify method?
