You should consult with a physio or osteopath to make sure anything you do does not make your problem worse.

Much of the strength for your lower back actually comes from your abdominal muscles. However, many exercises for strengthening those mucles have the potential to further injure your lower back.

You might also benefit from instruction on how to walk properly, with the proper posture and making sure you use your thigh and glut muscles. A physio or an osteopath can help there.

Yoga is also fantastic for improving flexibility and strength. If done properly it is much more gentle and has real long-term benefits.

Standing meditation with a good teacher,
unless you have enough awareness,

but since you have a disc taken out,
you probably don't have enough body awareness.

A good teacher is a good teacher.
Qualification is a joke.
All is about his/her awareness.
Feldenkrais could be helpful too, with again the same limitation.

If you hear many good comments about a teacher
in terms of better well-being,
that may be a good sign,
but see if he/she is beneficial for you.

When your posture is corrected,
you can add vipassana meditation
to get to simple understanding.

Uh, squats, deadlifts, good mornings, etc. Should you not be getting professional rehabilitation for this? Re-injury wouldn't be good.

Inversion table.
