No. DMT is more similar to LSD, being that it just "enhances" the world around you. Salvia is more like Ketamine, in that it completely separates you from your surroundings.

Let me out it this way. Salvia is like looking through a keyhole into a psychedelic insane asylum, while DMT is like being in that insane asylum, on mars.

But really they last the same amount of time, salvia is more of a body glued to your seat and hysterically laughing type deal. While DMT is a kaleidoscope of colors being projected from your eyes while aliens are trying to contact you using a high pitched communication technique, while this is going on your mind is racing 250 thoughts per second and you can see sound waves vibrating the colors in the air.
