neck pain possible joint dislocation?!

Question: Neck pain possible joint dislocation?
i just turned my head a weird angle and messed it up and haven't been able to "fix" it. It's SO PAINFUL when i turn my head certain ways, i tried different ways of getting my neck to "pop" back into place but i can't seem to find the right alignment i suppose.

the pain seems to involve my right arm also bc it hurts a bit when i do right arm movements, but not my left. Has anyone ever had this?..what kind of movements/exercises did you do to get it to "pop" back? ..could it possibly go away in a few days on its own?...and if not, then should i see a chiropractor or what specialist?

Thanks!

It takes major trauma to cause a spinal dislocation, so this is unlikely in your case. It sounds like you have a spasmodic torticollis. Your family Chiropractor is an expert in diagnosing and treating these types of problems. It might be wise to have a thorough evaluation by him/her.

For now, do not keep trying to stretch or 'fix' it, you will only aggravate it. Try moist heat and rest. You can also try wrapping a towel around your neck to provide support.

Best wishes and good luck.

This is what's called torticollis. It can be fixed by a chiropractor in minutes. You can't fix it yourself.
Never apply heat to your neck area. It can cause serious problems.

chiropractor will probably work, i'd suggest to go to a doctor tho
