Question: Just wondering: Are skin care ingredients made from Pulp better than Extract ingredients?Any special benefits?
If so why?

I'm looking into the natural and organic skin care products and ingredients.

I don't think there are any special benefits to using pulp products.



It's hard to specify if they are better or worse - just different. Pulp usually implies that the entire fruit, vegetable or plant is used .... they might be dehydrated a little so there is less water and more concentration of the fruit.

Extracts often only represent a specific component of the plant- which component will depend if the extraction is done via steam, solvent or some other manner. There are some very sophisticated ways of extracting very targeted chemical components from plant matter - so that the extract might be highly effective, but has very little relationship to the original plant. An example of this would be Malic acid. It's often used to even skin tone and reduce acne breakouts - and it's derived from apples. You could put apple pulp on your face ...... but it would not have the same effect as using Malic Acid.
