If you read the black box warnings on all anti depressants - increased risk of suicide. And it's not as effective as the drug companies are making out - see the link about that >>>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvu4lY8lw…

Try alternative proven ways to raise serotonin. Read this link and get better naturally. >>>http://www.integrativepsychiatry.net/ser…

Of course not.
There are many disadvantages of using antidepressant drugs & medications.
First, you could be involved in something like addiction of it.
Second, there are a lot of side-effects, for example, decreasing libido, stomach problems, diarrhea, etc.
Third, some of the antidepressants can be like tranquilizer, you feel like "slower and dumb robot".
You should use other methods to get good health.

There is absolutely no need for you to feel any embarassment over a resort to psych. meds. I do suggest, however, that you seek counseling help too. Many emotional problems or physiologically-based psych. problems can be addressed, in part, at least, by professional psychotherapy.

And if you want to explore some other non-drug "natural" substances, such as herbs, go for it!!
I was on Prozac for a number of years, and it helped a lot. After quite a while, I began to suffer from some side-effects, such as loss of libido, but it took some time for these to appear. One has to use some common sense with these kind of issues. Some drugs have horrific side-effects, but not all of them.

If I were a diabetic, would I decide to jump off my insulin? Only if I were a nut-case, or poorly advised by someone.

Don't feel that way. I know it's hard at first, I take them too. You'll most likely be worse off if you stop taking them, if they were prescribed to you. Just look at it as another pill and look to the future knowing for sure one day you will be better. I have OCD/Bipolar so I have to take mine. I don't know what you have, but if your doctor told you to take them, that will probably be best.

it's your thyroid. go see an hio method upper cervical specific chiropractor so you can have a chance to actually get better. the road you're on now will just take to worse health. covering up symptoms is a lie. your body knows it. start cooperating with nature instead of fighting it.

There is nothing on earth to be ashamed of.

While you are on antidepressants,
and you feel better,
take that as a chance to change patterns in your life.

Or let yourself be guided in this process by a professional.

Yes it is okay, also it's in your mind, you can't help it and it isn't your fault. Maybe they'll be a good thing and make you feel better, you don't have to tell anyone you're on them, it's fine.

It's physiological, it's not a weakness. It happens to the best of us. There is nothing to be ashamed of. I actually think it's brave of someone to admit that they need help and get the proper care they need.
