On the FDA’s own website, it states "most infections (by HPV) are short-lived and not associated with cervical cancer."

Most HPV infections do not progress to cervical cancer. A Pap test will help find abnormal cell changes early and your doctor can recommend treatment when needed. If your friend can’t obtain a Pap test please seek where to find a free or low cost pap in your area.

In helping the body's immune system simple things can help, a healthy diet, the body gets it nutritional needs better from a healthy diet that lots of supplements, good health sleep patterns, exercise, reducing stress, and limiting alcohol. Adding green tea could help and so might a good multi-vitamin ....but it is important to know that the person’s immune system is a delicate balance...and upsetting the delicate balance we have with unnecessary supplements can hurt our body. If you feel that you need supplements then your friend needs to seek a specialist that can help her find her individual answers.

Programs funded by the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (NBCCEDP) offer free or low-cost Pap tests to women in need. These and other programs are available throughout the United States. To find contact information for a program near you, visit the NBCCEDP web site at http://www.cdc.gov/cancer/nbccedp/ or call 1-800-232-4636. Also, your state or local health department can direct you to places that offer free or low-cost Pap tests.
Planned Parenthood offers low-cost Pap tests as well. To find the Planned Parenthood office in your area, call 1-800-230-7526 or visit their web site at: http://www.ppfa.org

It is well established that chronic infection of cervical epithelium by human papillomaviruses (HPV) is necessary for the development of cervical cancer. In fact, HPV DNA has been demonstrated in more than 99.7% of cervical cancer biopsy specimens, with high-risk HPV16 and HPV18 sequences being most prevalent (45,73). .

Cruciferous vegetables include broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, bok choy, and kale. These members of the cabbage family make an excellent stir fry and can really liven up a salad. But most importantly, components in these vegetables may help your body defend against cancers such as colon, breast, lung, and cervix
Don't Rely on Supplements
Vitamins may help protect against cancer. But that's when you get them naturally from food. Both the American Cancer Society and the American Institute for Cancer Research emphasize that getting cancer-fighting nutrients from foods like nuts, fruits, and green leafy vegetables is vastly superior to getting them from supplements. Eating a healthy diet is best

There really is no known herb or vitamins to fight HPV as it is usually a sexually activated desease. The best bet is to get Gardisil shots....http://search.yahoo.com/r/_ylt=A0oGdSRFN…

First off, you would want to know which strain you are infected with (and yes, there are tests) because it is true, the vast majority will never become cancer.
