Does xanax show up in a urine test?!

Question: Does xanax show up in a urine test?
If i haven't used it for a month and a half. I was going through a great deal of depression and need help with it so i started taking some xanax pills. I stop taking them on jan 25, 2011 when my mood became more controllable. I took a urine test yesterday(mar 17) and was wondering if the xanax will still show up on the results. It was used for a legitimate reason but i don't have a prescription!

Answers:

Hell no it wont show up, It stays in your system for maybe a week max. If its really been that long then your totally fine. I got tested ON bars and came up clean :)

Not having known how long you have been taking it or how much has built up in your system, now way to know till the test comes back. And as you stated, you don't have a prescription doesn't help matters. Honestly, I would advise and caution you Against taking this medication, prescribed or not. Xanax is one of the Most dangerous and addictive drugs on the market. Especially taking and stopping it repedativly. If you value your life, family and friends, Don't take this med. It will eventually make your life a living hell, and if needed to get off this med after getting dependant/addicted, it is necessary to go through a controled detox. There are safer med's that can be prescribed if indeed you have depression. Xanax to my knowledge is Not prescribed for depression. please seek legit medical attention and don't try to self medicate, it is extreemly dangerous.

I don't see how xanax would help with depression...next time why not try 5HTP. When you take something without a perscription, if you are driving, and something happens, like a friend I had whose child opened the car door, she hit another car trying to grab the child, and killed someone and went to jail for involuntary manslaughter...because she had xanax in her without a perscription. so please be careful driving..next time get a detox kit from your health food store to clear your system before you take the urine test!

No its cleared your system by now but if it was more recent it would have because its a benzodiazepine
