Ear ache after using a vaporizer?!

Question: Ear ache after using a vaporizer?
My fiance has been dealing with a cold thats going around. It started a couple days ago, mostly just coughing and sinus pressure. It's moved now to gunk in his chest, slightly runny nose, and slight congestion. He started using a vaporizer today, but a little after he developed a pretty painful ear ache. Can the vaporizer make this happen/make things worse? And any suggestions on how to handle everything (preferably naturally)? He already went to the doctor (before the ear ache) but she said it was just a cold and didn't prescribe anything.

Answers:

Humidifiers can promote mold growth, thats what the specialist told me when I had allergies. It might be water in the ears. Pour a small capful of hyrogen peroxide (NEVER ALCOHOL) into each ear for about 5 minutes a day, or until the bubbling stops. Its probably just earwa. After 5 minutes, tilt the head over and hold the ear over a towel and the pressure should be less. If not, go to a doctor to get it flushed

Same thing happened to me last month

Putting a hot washcloth on your sinus area while tilting your head forward helps loosen the sinus pressure. Mucinex is good for the "gunk" . Hope all is well soon.
