Is mineral oil safe for constipation?!

Question: Is mineral oil safe for constipation?
15 years old and I never taken a laxitive until now. Since I was unable to pass my stool for 2 days or so even though I really had to go my mom bought my mineral oil and a I took 2 spoonfuls of it, with in minutes I passed an enormus amount of stool. Felt better no more pain but I started to feel a bit sikly after taking it. P.s. I did NOT consult my pediatrician

Yes mineral oil is safe for consumption... Tastes gross but it's safe.... I you are feeling sickly afterwards try drinking slot of water.. Also, if you have not had a BM in 2 says it gets hard in your intestines and stays there so when your body absorbs it's nutrients and then flushes out the rest, it can't go anywhere and the stool absorbs the water from your body so when it finally passes. The weakness that you feel is that of the lack of the nutrients and water.... However, with anytype of Laxative or Stool Softner always make sure that you drink plenty of water...

I read several times that mineral oil is not safe to consume as it robs the body of its store of vitamin e.

Instead I would try Dr Schulze's intestinal cleanse #1. it always works for constipation once you get the dose for you figured out. If you can follow it with intestinal cleanse #2

These are available to herbdoc.com and a little cheaper at healmarketplace his student's store.

a search here will show you the dangers of mineral oil that many do not know about

Most likely you are just slightly nauseated from putting such a large dose of hydrocarbons (oil) in your stomach at once - not much different than eating a big greasy meal, only without the food :)

You should be ok after some rest, and next time, I would suggest you lower the dose as well.

Taking mineral oil is generally safe for consumption and has been approved by the FDA.

yes, mineral oil is safe to take for occasional constipation.
next time, try 1 spoonful of oil, maybe that will work too?
