is it safe to take old fish oils?!

Question: Is it safe to take old fish oils?
i have wanted to start taking fish oils again, but when i read the label of my fish oils bottle it said that it was best to take them before dec, 20 2008 i just want to know if it will be safe and still work the same if i take them still? like will they work for me with what they are said to do (skin and hair) if they are old? or will they do nothing at all?

Answers:

All old, rancid oils are potentially carcinogenic -- this goes for cooking oils, butter, etc. as well. I suggest you pitch them and buy a fresh supply.
