What undergrad degree would best prepare me to becoming a Naturopathic Doctor?!

Question: What undergrad degree would best prepare me to becoming a Naturopathic Doctor?
I was possibly thinking Biochemistry or Organismal Biology. What are your ideas?

Answers:

Get a B.Sc. in Chemistry. You will also need a solid grounding in all the sciences too. And please disregard the other miscreants who say Naturopathy doesn't work. It does. All the best in your studies!

A pharmacy degree would probably be best. Hopefully you'll cover clinical trials and epidemiology which will give you a good grounding in how and why naturopathy is ineffective.

Edit: A degree in chemistry? What a silly suggestion! What part of a chemistry degree would deal with herbs, human biology or health?

You don't need any degree. Not even a high school diploma. In 33 of the 50 states in America Naturopathy is completely unregulated. Any idiot can, and idiots often do, become become Naturopaths there. In 15 other states it's regulated, but you only have to take their ridiculous courses because they want money not because they are teaching you anything of value. In 2 states Naturopathy is outright banned. Why bother studying to be fraud? Just move to one of the unregulated states and start cheating people right away.

Better yet, you could study something worthwhile and then make a contribution to society.

Business and admin.
95% of Naturopaths in NZ cease practice within 5 years. Elsewhere in the world your chances of success are a little better but not good.
An accredited course should teach you all the background you need.

Pick any one you like, but you might be better choosing something that actually does benefit humanity.

GP for more years than I care to remember
