What about AARP.. Anyone have any personal experience with them?

You can call the company that makes the prescription, and if it is not a generic, and you don't have insurance, they usually will give you some type of assistance,discount etc...
we have health insurance, but even with that, my husband has a drug that costs him over $1000 a month out of pocket... he called the company & was able to get a discount & now it only costs him $75 a refill instead.

yes, many generics are only $4 or 10 or less. you can often ask your doctor if there is a generic instead of a name brand & then you dont have to worry about paying the high price.
