I've been researching herbs at university and I need to know whether the herb 'kratom' is legal in UK & USA?

For sure legal in the US, I've never heard of a state or local law against it. I think it's legal in the UK too. Kratomforum.com has TONS of info about kratom, there's lots of vendors that promote there as well so you can shop around and see reviews for different vendors. Be careful though, it is addictive, especially some of the extracts they sell.
