Answers:

From dating a young lady once that had IBS and had very similar symptoms I would say that your IBS is more than likely the problem.

The suggestion by Flaca_in_Az is a very good one. You need to make sure you clean your anal are well of any residual fecal matter. If there is anything left behind it can cause the itching and burning and rash that you are referring to. Baby wipes are very good for this but even if you are at home and just use a warm wet washcloth, that would be good.

When done you need to make sure you dry yourself very well. You might try some medicated powder like Gold Bond or some similar brand, It will help keep you dry and also give some medication to the inflamed area. Monistat will just keep moisture there and in my estimation will continue to aid in keeping the rash instead of getting rid of it.

Always wear cotton undies too, no satin or nylon or anything like that. The cotton will breathe and allow the skin to stay dry where the others will just aid in sweat forming and causing even more irritation. Don't skimp on the powder either, use plenty of it.

Good luck.
