Will red raspberry leaf tea lose its medicinal properties if it's cooled?!

Question:

Will red raspberry leaf tea lose its medicinal properties if it's cooled?

Answers:

No. You've already gotten the water soluble chemicals out of the herb by steeping it in hot water to make tea in the first place. Yes, some of the volatile oils and other steam dissolved chemicals may dissapate (sp? Sorry, not my strong point) into the air, but no worries, especially w/ this herb. Try mixing it w/ apple cranberry juice and lemonade for a lovely summertime drink. You could serve it over icecubes that you've frozen mint, thin lemon/lime slices, viola, violet, nasturtium, lavender, chive, rose, pansy, borage, geranium, verbena flowers and leaves in. These are ALL edible (as are many other flowers, herbs, and plants) and will nourish the eyes and the spirit as well, and make your drink truly a thing of beauty and healing.
