okay, so i guess nosodes are made from fecal and waste tissue matter[gross!] and that's probably why they're not approved by the FDA but do they work?

Nosodes are homeopathic preparations and yes, they are made from animal products or disease products. That is not the reason for FDA not approving them, but because FDA has not approved Homeopathy as a science.
And, the second part of your question: Yes, they work.
