PCOS--anything new for treatments?!

Question:

PCOS--anything new for treatments?

Are there any new treatments being studied for PCOS? I can't tolerate metformin, and yeah, losing weight would help but I didn't gain weight until I developed PCOS. Just looking to see if there have been any new developments.

Answers:

Bioidentical Progesterone. Get your hormone levels checked, Progesterone, Estrogens, and Testosterone.

If you Estrogen is higher than your Progesterone, this helps cause PCOS. And uterine fibroids. And ovarian cysts. And endometriosis. And PMS, heavy bleeding, big clots. etc.

Progesterone is also used by the adrenals to make Cortisol.

Cortisol is needed by the Thyroid hormones to unlock the receptor cells throughout the body, so these thyroid hormones can get in and regulate our metabolism. Without enough Progesterone, our adrenals cannot make enough Cortisol, and without enough Cortisol, our Thyroid hormones cannot get into our system to regulate our metabolism. Fat results.

Bioidentical Progesterone is identical to the Progesterone that your own body makes from cholesterol. It is the main treatment for women who experience repeat miscarriages as well. Do NOT use synthetic Progesterone, this causes cancer. Bioidentical does not cause cancer. It follows the same pathways in the body that our own does. Synthetic doesnt do that.

You can find a compounding pharmicist, such as at Bellevue Pharmacy in St. Louis, Missouri (there are thousands all over the country) to make it for you, he can also give you the name of a doctor in your area that prescribes it.
