There is so much natural stuff that you can do. Try it before you try medications. St John's wart is great for anxiety. Also, exercise is good as you burn off the extra adrenaline that floats around, and the endorphins make you feel calm.

There is also a term used called "take time to unwind your mind". Everyday, set aside a time where you listen to calm music (it doesn't have to be spacey newage, just something you like), practice slow breathing (you can really slow your heart rate down with this - feel your heart beat slow down as you breath slower and slower) and generally relax your mind.

Stay away from stimulants such as coffee, chocolate, diet pills, guarana (or energy drinks), excess sugar and artificial food colours and flavours. Take up drinking chamomile tea, and get some lavender scents in your home like an oil burner etc. Hope this helps.
